NYMEF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The New York Municipal Empowerment Foundation (NYMEF) Scholarship Program supports individuals pursuing careers in local government by providing financial assistance for education and training that strengthens municipal leadership across New York State. In partnership with SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Westchester, NYMEF is investing in the next generation of public servants through innovative microcredential programs designed to meet the evolving needs of local government.
Scholarship Requirements
Residency
-Must be a resident of New York State
Affiliation
-Current municipal officer or employee; or
-Student enrolled in a New York high school, college, or trade school who expresses a demonstrated interest in a career in municipal work & committed to working in a municipal government
Educational Status
-High school juniors and seniors, current college/trade students; or
-Current municipal officers and employees pursuing continuing education, certifications, or degrees related to public service

-Letter of recommendation
