NYMEF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The New York Municipal Empowerment Foundation (NYMEF) Scholarship Program supports individuals pursuing careers in local government by providing financial assistance for education and training that strengthens municipal leadership across New York State. In partnership with SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Westchester, NYMEF is investing in the next generation of public servants through innovative microcredential programs designed to meet the evolving needs of local government.

Scholarship Requirements

Residency

-Must be a resident of New York State

 

Affiliation

-Current town employee/town official, or

-Student enrolled in a New York-based high school, college, or trade school who expresses a demonstrated interest in a career in municipal work & committed to working in a municipal government (explain in essay)

 

Educational Status

-High school seniors, current college/trade students, or

-Current municipal employees pursuing continuing education, certifications, or degrees related to public service
